Hmmm... a horror story on one level, a metaphor on another. Two people trapped in a relationship are like skeletons who feel nothing. The music, especially the keys, is wonderfully waltzy with a sigh... well done, you two!

Emotively melancholic with a touch of regret Maybe you should have done this track under "Rustling Shroud" instead of "Silk"
Beautifully done

Old fashioned "Dark Shadows" sound. I've always really liked that harpsichord sound. It always reminds of those classy old horror movies made in the 60's. Guitar solo has a nice showy "Type O Negative" feel to it. I like your dark side. Well done!

Great atmosphere in this one. It has a very well polished sheen on it still the spike vocal balances all of this to keep its emotional (spike) real. There is a lot of reaching out and pained expression here vocally which works really well as the backing music is so moving.
I was so happy to hear that you both got signed and I really hope it works well and allows your music to continue to shine and entertain like it always does.

Nice and moody dark..Just and idea came to mind as I listen..Would you consider maybe placing a filter in the voice,I think it would fit very well frequency wise as it will give it an expanded dimension..Just an idea, this is great as is too....Great performance...Tittle fits well!

Reminds me a bit of latter day Beatles WHite Album/Abbey Road with the descending chord sequences and keys sounds.
I'd like to see the return of the trademark RS rhythm fuzz guitar for some of the verses and/or choruses, not just the solo break, I think that would be appropriate for this track. Cool lyrics and theme and an enjoyable track nonetheless. Nice pads in the outro.

I really liked this song from the start when looking for a song to cover. I think I knew right away. The feel and the lyrics are so moving. Loved the piano and emotion inherent in this story. Was an absolute joy to cover. Thank you for this.

The vocal treatment is abundantly appropriate. Comparing it to a "clean" track is like comparing the sound of a harpsichord to that of an organ...and seriously, doesn't Lurch's (Addams family butler) playing sound spookier than the Phantom of the Opera's? In terms of tone and timbre, I think it does.
The basic melody, that funeral-dirge-tempo arpeggio, is one for the brilliantly simple/simply brilliant category. It makes the little hairs on the back of my neck stand on end...and my left arm ache...and I'm getting a copper-like taste in my mouth...y'know, maybe I'd better wrap this up and pay my doctor a visit...

Back again, following the contest to say-- I think Jen and Ecocide picked a great one to cover. It's part of my ever-growing library of Rustling Silk classics. And imho, that's not a bad diet... or I'm just hungry... okay! Where's the
This one tends to crawl back inside your brain, and stay and stay and stay...

This sent chills down my spine within seconds, it felt great. Thanks for that, same time next week?
The beautiful, spooky, ambient feel had me listening to it 5 times before daring to make contact with my keyboard. Things get really special when your guitar enters the scene, and the reverse ride cymbal right before it is magic. The sound of the guitar is very tasty. Vocal treatment is nice and crunchy? yes crunchy, fits in well. This is surely one of your favourites, right?
